Welcome to Centennial School District #12.
Centennial serves 31,982 residents in the communities of Blaine, Centerville, Circle Pines, Lexington and Lino Lakes. Centennial serves 6,405 students with approximately 865 teachers and support staff at five elementary schools, the middle school, high school, Early Childhood Center, and CALC (Centennial Area Learning Center). Centennial has a comprehensive E-12 program where students explore mathematics, science, communication, business, vocational education, physical education, art, social studies, music, and modern languages.
A full continuum of services for students with special needs is available at each school site. Support services include special education, Title I, Gifted Education and more.

Centennial Early Childhood Education
Through creative play and learning, the children, families and staff of Centennial Early Childhood collaborate to support, accept and enhance each person's uniqueness. Programs include Early Childhood Family Education, School Readiness and Special Education. The program is currently housed in leased space and will move into existing space at Rice Lake Elementary School in summer, 2012

Elementary Schools
Centennial serves 2,706 elementary students with a curriculum that includes communication, math, science, art, health, social studies, physical education, music, media and computer technology. The health program includes conflict resolution through The Peace Works curriculum.

Middle School
The middle school serves approximately 1,500 students with a staff that believes learning is a lifelong collaborative process involving all members of the community. The middle school is arranged in three two-story houses,with students assigned to teams, each supporting student learning. CHS
High School
Serving approximately 2,106 students on a two-building campus, Centennial offers over 160 electives and students can earn college credit in several subject areas. The high school maintains three four-year foreign language courses, has an early graduation option, and offers work experience/career exploration and cooperative on-the-job programs. Advanced Placement, mentorship, and college-enrollment options are available. 90% of Centennial seniors graduate, with 65% going on to a community college, a college or a university. Centennial Area Learning Center (CALC)
The Area Learning Center is a community-based program for students who prefer a different approach to learning. The high school off-campus program includes computer-assisted learning, vocational/technical courses, community-based work experiences, post-secondary options and curriculum instruction. Centennial School Board
A six-member school board governs the district. Board members are elected at-large on Election Day in November. The superintendent is an ex-officio member of the board. Board meetings are typically held the third Monday of the month at 6:30 pm in the District Office Board Room. Minutes are printed on the website and in the local newspaper, the Quad Community Press.
